The classic Leclerc floor loom in three widths
The Leclerc Nilus II is a versatile floor loom available in three weaving widths (90, 115 and 150 cm) and four different mechanisms. It folds to just 70 cm depth for storage and features a friction brake for consistent warp tension. Both the cloth beam and the back thread beam can be removed without tools, making outside beaming or front threading straightforward.

Models
4 shafts Jack-Type: Six treadles, simple setup. The top frame can be removed quickly to add or remove heddles. Can be upgraded to 8 shafts with an upgrade kit.
4 shafts Counterbalance: Same dimensions and price as the jack-type, but with a built-in shed regulator. All threads start at the centre of the heddle eye, giving a large, clean shed especially for dense warp setts, bouclé, or rug weaving.
8 shafts Jack-Type: Ten treadles for advanced structures. Independent shafts are guided by pegs on each side and pushed upward by an under-mechanism.
8 shafts Back Hinge Treadles: Treadles anchored at the rear of the loom, with a rocker mechanism for even cord tension in any treadle position. Solves the floating-shaft problem on 6+ shaft weaving without sacrificing the folding feature.
8 shafts Countermarche: Every shaft is actively raised or lowered by every treadle. Uneven sheds such as 3:1 are always wide and clean. Only one set of lamms, two sets of pulleys above the shafts, and one set below.
Common questions
Can I upgrade from 4 to 8 shafts?
Yes, for jack-type versions there is an upgrade kit that converts any Nilus II 4-shaft jack into an 8-shaft jack without returning the loom.
Is the warp beam suitable for sectional beaming?
Yes. Every Nilus II comes with a plain warp beam that can be converted to a sectional beam by screwing on rake-like pieces. Sections of 1" and 2" are available as accessories.
