Frequently asked questions about Glimåkra

Glimåkra or Glimakra?
Both mean the same manufacturer. The å is a Swedish letter, so many people simply write Glimakra.

Are there assembly instructions?
Yes. We wrote our own instructions for two models: Glimåkra Emilia: assembly instructions and Glimåkra Julia: assembly instructions and video.

How hard is it to assemble a Glimåkra loom?
The looms arrive disassembled. On the Standard the wooden parts are traditionally wedged rather than screwed together, which makes assembly easier than you might expect.

Which Glimåkra is best for beginners?
If you want to weave at a table, the Emilia is a good start, and the Susanna for wider cloth. If you want a floor loom, the Julia needs only 78 x 80 cm of floor space.
