4-shaft counterbalance loom
The Leclerc Mira II is a 4-shaft counterbalance loom with a sturdy maple frame. It has a shed regulator, so you can switch between 2-against-2 and 1-against-3 tie-ups with very little adjustment. The shed is large and clean, even at the high warp tension you need for rugs. The Mira II is a good choice for weaving schools, classes and production studios.
A friction brake keeps the warp tension even. The cloth beam and breast beam are easy to remove, and the top rollers are adjustable in height. You can add a sectional warp beam at any time.

Frequently asked questions
What does the shed regulator do?
A counterbalance loom works best when the same number of shafts go up and down. With the shed regulator you can also weave structures where 1 shaft works against 3, such as 1/3 twill, Bronson lace or summer and winter.
Can I weave rugs on the Mira II?
Yes. The sturdy maple frame handles the high warp tension that rugs need.
