Why the AVL V-Series?
Maximum creative freedom in a small footprint. The V-Series combines the creative power of a professional multi-shaft loom with the footprint of a compact machine. With 40 shafts, you'll weave structures that are simply unthinkable on a conventional 8- or 16-shaft loom – in a machine that takes up barely more space than an armchair.
E-Lift makes weaving more accessible than ever. The electronic lift system raises and lowers the shafts with a gentle tap of the foot – no more strenuous treadling. Those with knee, hip, or back issues benefit especially. The weaver remains at the center: their rhythm, their technique, their feel for the fiber.
Full software compatibility. The Compu-Dobby® 5 reads every .wif file and works with the most common weaving programs. The free AVL Drive software is included. You design on screen, the loom executes it pick by pick.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which weaving software is compatible? WeavePoint, Fiberworks, PixeLoom, and any other software that exports .wif files. AVL Drive is also included free of charge.
Is the V-Series suitable for beginners in computer dobby? Yes. The brake system and breast beam behave like classic looms – familiar to most weavers. The Compu-Dobby requires a short learning curve, well supported by the manual and AVL support.
Can I use the loom for production quantities? The V-Series is optimized for studio weaving, teaching, and creative work. For continuous production quantities, we recommend the AVL A-Series.
What distinguishes the V-Series from the K-Series? The K-Series is a classic countermarch dobby with a wider range of options (up to 102 cm). The V-Series is more compact, lighter, and thanks to E-Lift requires significantly less effort when treadling.
