  • Up to 40 shafts – Compu-Dobby® 5 or mechanical dobby system
  • Fly shuttle – single, double, or four-box options
  • Automatic warp beam advance – up to 100 yards per warp possible
  • Up to three warp beams usable simultaneously
  • Automatic warp tension – set it once, stays constant
  • Automatic cloth take-up & storage – no interruption to your weaving rhythm
  • Sustainably crafted hardwood – Made in USA, built for a lifetime

Why the AVL A-Series?

Production quality in handweaver quality. The A-Series was built from the ground up for producing fabric. The automatic warp tension system keeps tension consistent throughout an entire project – from meter one to 100 meters. The result: even, reproducibly high-quality cloth, pick by pick.

Maximum speed and efficiency. Fly shuttle, automatic cloth storage, and automatic warp advance mean you weave without ever stopping. No winding, no pausing, no lost concentration. Professional weavers use the A-Series for meter after meter of world-class fabric.

Unlimited design possibilities. With the Compu-Dobby® 5 and 40 shafts or a mechanical dobby system up to 24 shafts – you choose the technology that fits your way of working. All .wif files are compatible.

Comfort that lasts. The open frame design makes threading, sleying, and weaving comfortable and accessible. Electronic or pneumatic shaft lift systems can be retrofitted to reduce treadling to a light click.
